## What End Close does

End Close is an automated reconciliation platform for high-volume
payments companies. It connects to payment processors, bank accounts,
and accounting systems; continuously matches transactions across those
sources; surfaces exceptions; and automates their resolution.

## Automate reconciliation

End Close ingests transactions from every source you rely on -
processors like Stripe, bank accounts, and ledgers like Xero - and
matches them continuously. Rules-based matching automates 99.999% of
transactions, and agents apply proposed resolutions to the exceptions
that remain, so the vast majority of activity reconciles without a human
touching it.

## Track and resolve exceptions

When a transaction cannot be matched, End Close opens an exception with
full context: the unmatched records, the rule that failed, suggested
fixes, and an auditable trail. Exceptions can be resolved manually or
handed to agents that execute the fix for you.

## Built for engineering-grade finance teams

- Typed API with an OpenAPI specification
- Audit trail on every record change
- Role-based access and SSO
- Designed to handle millions of transactions per month

## Security and compliance

End Close is built for regulated environments. SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2
reports have been issued, and controls are continuously monitored via Vanta. See
[/security](https://www.endclose.com/security) for details on the security
program, data protection, and compliance posture.

## Company

End Close, Inc. was founded in early 2026 in San Francisco by Sean Bolton
(CEO) and David Newell (CTO) and was part of Y Combinator's Winter 2026
batch. Sean previously built and ran the reconciliation org at Modern
Treasury, scaling it to $1T in annual reconciliation volume at 99.995%
automation. David led error tracking at PostHog, founded Unflow (YC S19),
and worked at Intercom and Basecamp. End Close is backed by Y Combinator,
Foundation Capital, Liquid 2 Ventures, and Sunflower Capital. See
[/about-us](https://www.endclose.com/about-us).

## Customers

Sunbound uses End Close to reconcile large batched payments against
individual transactions instead of building that automation in-house.

## Pricing

End Close is quoted per customer; pricing scales with monthly transaction
volume and the number of integrations connected. There is no public price
list. The [pricing calculator](https://www.endclose.com/pricing-calculator)
compares the three-year cost of building reconciliation in-house against
buying End Close and documents its methodology.
